Recently the Child Development Education Alliance, Inc. honored Little Blessings Learning Center, located at 110 Masters Drive in St Augustine, during their first ?Gifts of Service? Awards Dinner, according to an announcement received by Historic City News today.
The honors were given in the ?Demonstrating Excellence in Serving Families? category. Little Blessing was a finalist in the category that honored church ministries in Northeast Florida who serve young children and their families.
?Little Blessing Learning Center is committed to the youth in our community; offering many free resources and activities for youth to participate in and enjoy,? Jo Davis-Baughn told local reporters. ?Being His servants, we are on a mission to show the love of Christ to each child and family that we are privileged to serve.?
The honorable Jennifer Carroll was the emcee for the evening and presented the awards. David Lawrence, Chairman of the Florida Children?s Movement, was the guest speaker.
Davis-Baughn, Chris Sikes, Olga Grove, Michelle Mauro, Jennifer Carroll, Erin Gibson, Stephen Gibson, Erica Murray, Laura Ames, April Masters, the teachers and Board of Directors of Little Blessing Learning Center, were in attendance for this recognition; as were a number of regional and state educators
Florida Commissioner of Education, Dr. Tony Bennett, provided the final thoughts on the programs honored at the celebration and their continued commitment to early childhood education.
